Rise early to visit Banjarmasin’s traditional floating market, an iconic expression of Banjar river culture. Watch local traders exchange fresh fruits, vegetables, and other goods from boat to boat as the city awakens along its waterways.
Return to the hotel for breakfast and check-out, then continue overland to Palangka Raya, travelling through rural villages, rice fields, and wetland landscapes. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant along the way.
Upon arrival in Palangka Raya, check in at your hotel before visiting Mount Tangkiling. From its elevated viewpoints, enjoy scenic views across the surrounding green landscape and forested areas.
Continue to the Nyaru Menteng orangutan conservation and rehabilitation centre, subject to availability and access arrangements, to learn about orangutan rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation efforts.
In the late afternoon, visit Lake Tahai to enjoy the tranquil scenery and, weather permitting, a beautiful sunset. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Palangka Raya.

After breakfast, transfer to the Rungan River to begin a canoe excursion upstream toward the forested areas around Kaja Island and Palas Island.
Explore the river scenery and look for orangutans and other wildlife from the boat, following local conservation and wildlife-viewing guidelines. Sightings depend on animal activity and environmental conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
After the excursion, return to the hotel or proceed according to the day’s transport arrangements. Transfer to Palangka Raya Airport in time for your onward flight.
